Lexus IS sedan unveiled

Toyota has introduced two versions of the completely rethought Lexus IS model luxury sedan and the first hybrid version of the IS model.
Accordingly, the Lexus IS model hybrid version with fuel consumption of 1 liter of gasoline for 23.2 km long distances.
The minimum expected selling price of the standard model in the new hybrid IS product line to 4.8 million yen while the version using only petrol engine is priced at 4.2 million yen.

According to Toyota, they determined the average sales targets of the three versions is 800 units per month. The Japanese automaker said it has received orders totaling 4,000 units for the three versions.

Hybrid version accounted for 70% of the order and will take an average of two weeks to three months, customers can get a new IS after ordering plans are controlled by strict Toyota.

Although Toyota is marketing diesel version of the IS sedan form above for many years for overseas customers, but the automaker decided to remove the engine version of the two latest versions above.

In another move, Toyota said it has started production of the Yaris compact at its plants in France for export to the North American market.

Toyota Yaris production started for the North American market, also called Vitz in Japan at its plants located in Oannaing, near the city of Valenciennes. This will be the first model to be assembled in Europe for export to North America.

Toyota has spent 10 million euros to build a new production line at the factory. Toyota plans to export 25,000 cars a year to the North American market.
